Céline Sunnies

Yo! (yeah, I just said "yo"...channeling my inner Pinkman today, anyone out here watch Breaking Bad? I am itching for the final season!)
I thought I'd introduce you guys to my newest hater blockers/sun protectors/sunnies...my new Céline Oversized 'Audrey' babies - yes, inspired by Audrey Hepburn. They are everything I could ever want from a pair of sunglasses: black, oversized, slight cat eye shape,  super dark and minimalistic. I had bought these Prada sunnies a while ago but ended up returning them because they were too see-through for my liking - everything else was awesome. However, the universe worked in my favor and brought these into my life. They are a bit heavy on the face but that just reassures me that they're the perfect sturdy investment piece. I won't say much more, because they can speak for themselves.

Sidenote: I always put a song in every post because I think it's nice to connect others with what I'm into/what inspires me.  Music is so euphoric to me, no matter how cheesy or deep it can be - it transcends and has the power to move people (I know, it's not always that serious, but just think about it for a second...) On that note, I just came across the singer/artist Lorde - I don't know why her music was never in my life before. I AM IN LOVE WITH EVERYTHING SHE DOES. Check out her musical styling of "Tennis Court" below and enjoy!

Feeling Tropical | OOTD

Totally feelin' these tropical pants I scored a couple of weeks ago! The material is so breezy and perfect for summa'time! The pants are pretty loud on their own so I decided to mute this outfit down with some basic colors. I need more tropical print items in my closet - stat! I also need a vacation.

Death Becomes Her

Hola! I finally got my hands on the Wildfox White Label Pfeiffer sweater about 2 months ago and thought that it was time to finally feature it on ma' blog. I can dress this bad boy up but decided to go for a super casual "comfy" throw-it-on-and-go look. This sweater is super baggy/oversized which makes for the perfectly awkward weather going on in Chicago. I also opted for this beautiful sky color instead of the black version because I wanted to step out of my zone a bit and am so happy with my decision. I made it slightly "less girly" by throwing on my cut-out pleather tights, Next time I wear it, I want to rock a dark vampy lip (like I did in an older blog post).
This is my 2nd Wildfox piece and I'm hooked - too bad my wallet isn't too fond of my latest obsession.

Warby Parker: Home Try-On Program

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Warby Parker site to select 5 glasses from their 'home try-on program'. You basically get to select 5 glasses you'd like to try and they send it to you for free (you only put your card info so that they can hold $1 to ship and then they take it out, so yep...ZERO dollars, FREE FREE FREE!) After 5 days, you send the bad boys back with the return label they kindly already have ready for you. I've been pretty familiar with the Warby brand and have wanted to get a couple pairs of glasses because of how inexpensive they are, but I wanted to try them on at first and see how they fit my face shape. I'm such a creature of habit with my wayfarer Rayban glasses, so this try-on was what was needed to freshen up my style a little. I decided to pair up super quick and causal (everyday) outfits around the glasses I chose. Underneath the pictures you can click on the style to see them on the site. Definitely going to be buying some from the 5 that I picked! Plus, for every pair that you buy, a pair is given to someone in need :)
